3Q25: In line with estimates

3Q25 core profit was in line at Bt1.2bn, +35% YoY but -53% QoQ. With seasonally better demand and better industry management of Cambodian workers, local swine prices have edged up MoM to Bt62/kg in Nov to date (from a loss-making level of Bt56/kg in Oct), but any further rise may be gradual off high supply induced by high 1H25 prices (Bt83/kg). With swine prices weak (Bt59/kg, -18% YoY, -14% QoQ) in 4Q25TD, we still expect 4Q25F to be unexciting, down QoQ but flat YoY. Factoring in a low swine price in 4Q25TD cuts our 2025-26F by 5%. We maintain NEUTRAL with a new mid-2026 SOTP TP of Bt19.5 (from Bt20.5) based on PE of 5-7x for feed, farm and food units.

3Q25 net profit in line at Bt1.2bn, +19% YoY but -55% QoQ. Excluding Bt64mn one-off expenses (mainly loss on the change in biological assets), 3Q25 core profit was Bt1.2bn, +35% YoY from slightly better sales and wider gross margin from lower feed costs but -53% QoQ due to narrower gross margin from lower local swine prices.

3Q25 highlights. Sales grew 2% YoY as a 7% YoY rise in sales volume via capacity expansion offset lower product selling prices (weak swine and feed product prices). By segment, sales grew 15% YoY in the international business unit from acquiring the egg business in Singapore in 1Q25 and grew 43% YoY in the pet food unit from growing demand in existing and new export markets. Sales were flat YoY in the food unit but fell 4% YoY in the agro unit as lower local swine price and feed product prices outpaced higher sales volume. Gross margin grew to 15% (+110bps YoY) from margin expansion in all units except for food (-10bps YoY on lower product prices amid lower feed costs). Margin for pet food and international business units widened 460bps YoY and 240bps YoY from more high-margin sales and 270bps YoY for the agro unit on lower feed costs.

Key takeaways from meeting. Local swine price is Bt59/kg (-18% YoY, -14% QoQ) in 4Q25TD, still down from Bt68/kg in 3Q25, Bt83/kg in 1H25, and Bt70/kg in 2024. By month, price was Bt56/kg (-5% MoM, -21% YoY) in October, below breakeven cost at the gross profit level for big players of Bt55-60/kg, from weak demand in the rainy season and the vegetarian festival, and industry supply chain disruption from Cambodian labor shortage. In Nov to date, price has edged up to Bt62/kg (+12% MoM, -15% YoY) and Bt63-64/kg now, from seasonally better demand and relief of the worker shortage. BTG expects local swine price to edge up to at least above breakeven cost at the gross profit level for small players of Bt70/kg, based on moderate new pig supply (flat YoY in 2025F and +2-3% YoY in 2026F) and supply & demand balancing via collaboration as requested by the National Swine Raisers Association of Thailand starting from September (i.e. piglet cycle reduction program for four months, cooperation among major swine producers to keep pork in cold storage for six months, a “2 kg pork for Bt100” campaign to boost local consumption and a slaughter weight limit to prevent excess meat production). Local broiler price is Bt37-38/kg (-3% YoY, -7% QoQ) in 4Q25TD (close to breakeven cost at the gross profit level for big players) and BTG expects price to improve gradually for the rest of 4Q25F from seasonal demand and robust export sales. Feed costs. In 4Q25TD, spot corn & soybean meal costs fell to Bt9.8/kg (-2% YoY, -5% QoQ) and Bt13.8/kg (-25% YoY, -4% QoQ), lowering production costs. BTG expects feed costs to edge down further from abundant supply through at least 1Q26F.

Key risks are lower demand and prices from fragile economies and more supply, and higher feed costs. Key ESG risks are GHG emission, waste & water management (E), customer welfare, product quality management, health & safety policies (S).
