3Q25: In line, good uptrend in revenue
BH reported record-high net profit of Bt2.0bn in 3Q25 (up 4% YoY and 10% QoQ), in line with market consensus. The highlight is resumption of a revenue uptrend after four quarters of a YoY decline, driven by growth in international patients, particularly from the Middle East, Myanmar and Bangladesh. We stay Neutral on BH (TP at Bt214) but see a near-term trading opportunity on the return to YoY growth in revenue and earnings, coupled with a low valuation.
3Q25: Record high, in line with consensus. BH report a record high net profit at Bt2.0bn, up 4% YoY and 10% QoQ, in line with market consensus. Excluding extra items of FX gain/loss, core profit grew 2% YoY and 10% QoQ, driven by a growth in revenue and continued high EBITDA margin.
Returned to revenue uptrend, ending four quarters of a YoY decline. Revenue was Bt6.5bn in 3Q25, up 2% YoY and 8% QoQ. Although slightly below guidance of 3-5% growth, this is a good sign as it marks a return to YoY growth after four quarters of decline on a fading high base effect of high patient volume and revenue intensity in 2023–1H24. Behind the growth was revenue from international patient services (67% of total revenue), which grew 4% YoY and 12% QoQ, contributed largely by patients from the Middle East (+10% YoY), Myanmar (+21% YoY) and Bangladesh (+31% YoY), offsetting a continued drop in the Cambodia market. Revenue from Thai patient services (33% of revenue) slipped 2% YoY but rose 1% QoQ. BH continued to maintain a high EBITDA margin at 40.9% in 3Q25, a slight improvement from 40.3% in 3Q24 and 40.8% in 2Q25. We will have another update following the analyst meeting on November 12.
Earnings fine-tuned. We fine-tune our core earnings forecast, raising both 2025 and 2026 by 2% to reflect the 3Q25 results and strong EBITDA margin. In the near term, we expect core earnings to grow slightly YoY in 4Q25 on sustained revenue growth, but to experience a QoQ drop due to a seasonality. Looking ahead to 2026, we forecast 4% core earnings growth, which we expect to be front-loaded in 1H26 before softening in 2H26, on the initial costs associated with opening its new hospital in Phuket, scheduled for 2027.
Near-term trading opportunity. We maintain our Neutral call on BH with a mid-2026 DCF TP at Bt214 (WACC of 7.7% and LT growth of 3%). However, we see a near-term trading opportunity driven by the return to YoY growth for revenue and earnings coupled with a low valuation. Over the past three months, BH share price has declined 6% (vs. the SET’s increase of 4%) and it is trading at a 2026 PE of 18x, which is near -2SD of its 10-year historical average, suggesting potential for a short-term rebound.
Risks. Since international patient services contribute the majority of BH’s revenue, we are keeping an eye on the global economic slowdown and geopolitical risk that may cause clients to delay elective medical care and make it inconvenient for international patients to come to Thailand for treatment. We see ESG risk as patient safety (S): BH has adopted a variety of quality assurance systems to provide continuous patient care.
