สวัสดีตอนเช้า - 1 ก.ค. 2567 ฟื้นจำกัด สัญญาณยังเป็นลบ

มาตรการ uptick ที่เริ่มในวันนี้ คาดช่วยลดความผันผวนของตลาดได้บ้าง อย่างไรก็ตาม สัญญาณโดยรวมยังเป็นลบ และตลาดที่ยังขาดปัจจัยหนุนรวมถึงทิศทาง fund flow ไหลออก ทำให้คาดการฟื้นตัวยังถูกจำกัดที่แนวต้าน 1310 และ 1320 จุด ตามลำดับ ขณะที่ยังมีความเสี่ยงด้าน downside โดยมีแนวรับอยู่ที่ 1290 และ 1280 จุด

ประเด็นสำคัญ

• CNN ระบุผลสำรวจชาวอเมริกันซึ่งเป็นผู้สังเกตการณ์การแสดงวิสัยทัศน์ 67% ให้โดนัลด์ ทรัมป์ เป็นฝ่ายชนะ มีเพียง 33% ที่ให้ ปธน. โจ ไบเดน เป็นผู้ชนะ เนื่องจากมีการพูดที่ติดขัด และขาดความต่อเนื่อง
• สหรัฐรายงานดัชนี Headline PCE พ.ค. +2.6%YoY และ 0.0%MoM ส่วนดัชนี Core PCE พ.ค. +2.6%YoY และ 0.1%MoM ตามตลาดคาด
• USDA รายงานสต็อกข้าวโพด ถั่วเหลือง และข้าวสาลี ณ สิ้นสุดวันที่ 1 มิ.ย. อยู่ในระดับสูงกว่าช่วงเวลาเดียวกันของปีที่แล้ว โดยเฉพาะสต็อกข้าวโพดซึ่งอยู่ในระดับสูงสุดในรอบกว่า 30 ปี
• จีนรายงานดัชนี PMI ภาคการผลิต มิ.ย. ทรงตัวเท่ากับ พ.ค. 67 ขณะที่ 5M67 รายได้และกำไรของอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์และการบริการเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเติบโต 11.6%YoY และ 16.3%YoY ตามลำดับ
• ซาอุดีอาระเบียอาจปรับลดราคาน้ำมันดิบที่ขายให้กับภูมิภาคเอเชียเป็นเดือนที่ 2 ในเดือน ส.ค.นี้ ตอกย้ำถึงแรงกดดันที่ผู้ผลิตน้ำมันในกลุ่ม OPEC เผชิญ ขณะที่อุปทานน้ำมันนอกกลุ่ม OPEC ยังคงเพิ่มขึ้นและ ศก. โลกกำลังเผชิญกับปัญหาต่างๆ
• สศอ. รายงานดัชนี MPI พ.ค.67 หดตัว 1.54% ส่งผลให้ 5M67 หดตัว 2.08% สะท้อนปัญหาขาดกำลังซื้อใน ปท. หนี้ครัวเรือนและ ดบ. อยู่ในระดับสูง ขณะที่ มิ.ย. 67 จับตา ศก. ส่งสัญญาณชะลอตัว
• สนค. ระบุ 5M67 ไทยส่งออกทูน่ากระป๋อง 2.21 แสนตัน เพิ่มขึ้น 19.39%YoY ยังคงเป็น ปท. ส่งออกทูน่ากระป๋องอันดับ 1 ของโลก หนุนจากปริมาณทูน่าที่เพิ่มขึ้นส่งผลให้ต้นทุนลดลง ความต้องการเพิ่มขึ้น ปัญหาภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ทำให้มีการสต๊อกสินค้าเพิ่มขึ้น

กลยุทธ์การลงทุน

ช่วงสั้นมอง SET ยังเปราะบางและแกว่งตัวในกรอบแคบ ระหว่างรอความชัดเจนของปัจจัยการเมืองในประเทศซึ่งในวันที่ 3 ก.ค. ศาล รธน. จะมีการนัดพิจารณาคดียุบพรรคก้าวไกล และวันที่ 10 ก.ค. ศาล รธน. จะมีการนัดพิจารณาคดียื่นวินิจฉัยคุณสมบัติของนายกรัฐมนตรี ขณะที่ปัจจัยต่างประเทศติดตามดัชนี PMI ภาคการผลิตและภาคบริการ มิ.ย. จีน อียูและสหรัฐฯ ซึ่งคาดจะออกมาทรงตัวถึงขยายตัวเล็กน้อยจากเดือนก่อนหน้า ดังนั้นกลยุทธ์ลงทุนจึงแนะนำ “Selective Buy”

มองตลาดหุ้นไทยยังเปราะบางและแกว่งตัวในกรอบแคบ ระหว่างรอความชัดเจนของปัจจัยการเมืองในประเทศและปัจจัยหนุนใหม่ๆ กลยุทธ์ลงทุนจึงแนะนำ “Selective Buy” ใน 4 ธีม ดังนี้

Market today

The uptick measure, which starts today, is expected to reduce some of the market’s volatility. However, the picture as a whole remains negative, with no catalyst and continued fund outflows. Recovery is still limited at resistances of 1310 and 1320, while there is still a downside risk at supports of 1290 and 1280.

Today’s highlights

• CNN reported a poll of the Presidential debate and found 67% of American observers think Donald Trump dominated the debate, with only 33% favoring Joe Biden, citing Biden's difficulty speaking.
• US headline PCE in May was +2.6%YoY and stable MoM; core PCE was +2.6%YoY and 0.1%MoM, meeting expectations.
• USDA reported higher corn, soybean and wheat stocks as of June 1 than last year, especially corn, which is at a 30-year high.
• China manufacturing PMI in June remained stable. In the first 5 months of 2024, revenue and profit in the software and IT services industry grew by 11.6% and 16.3%YoY respectively.
• Saudi Arabia may reduce crude oil prices for Asian markets for the second month in August, highlighting pressure on OPEC producers as supply outside OPEC continues to rise and the global economy continues to face problems.
• Thailand manufacturing production index (MPI) for May 2024 contracted 1.54%, giving a 5-month contraction of 2.08%, reflecting domestic purchasing power issues and high household debt and interest rate; the economy in June signaled a slowdown.
• In the first 5 months of 2024, Thailand exported 221,000 tons of canned tuna, up 19.39%YoY, maintaining its position as the world's top exporter of canned tuna, underwritten by greater tuna catches, which is lowering cost, plus higher demand and geopolitics leading to stockpiling.

Strategy today

In the short term, the SET is still volatile and fragile from prolonged pressure from politics, and it will continue to underperform the region. However, there are economic hopes lying in industrial production and the release of the MPC minutes that may signal recovery in the manufacturing sector. There is a new catalyst building confidence in the capital market: raising the maximum investment limit for TESG funds and the uptick measure starting on Jul 1. Externally, there is no new catalyst this week. Follow US PCE in May, which is expected to be stable MoM and 2.6%YoY (slowing from 2.7%YoY in April); this will not exert much pressure on the market. “Selective Buy”.

Trading today

Thai capital market is seen to still be fragile and ranged-bound while waiting for some political clarity and a new catalyst. We recommend "Selective Buy" with four main themes:
1) Stocks expected to benefit from short covering after the SET implements the uptick rule on July 1 and which also have SETESG ratings between AAA-A - HANA, TOP, BEM, MINT, OSP, BBL, SCGP and AOT.
2) Stocks expected to benefit from changes in conditions for the ThaiESG fund: raising deductions to up to Bt300,000 and reducing the holding period to five years - ADVANC, CPALL, BDMS, BBL and BEM.
3) Global plays whose profit is expected to grow and which benefit from global economy recovery over domestic plays, which face multiple uncertainties - KCE, SCGP, TU and MINT. (We recommend buy KCE and SCGP on price dips upon pressure from weak Chinese economic figures).
4) Tension has eased about the situation in the Middle East, leading Brent down to the lower bound of US$80-90/bbl, which is seen as an opportunity to hedge. For high-risk takers, we recommend an upstream oil stock - PTTEP.

Daily top picks

PTTEP: High oil price in the short term will be a catalyst to stock price; it is also a good hedge against conflict in the Middle East. Profit and balance sheet are still strong. 2Q24 profit is expected to be bolstered by higher oil price and record-high sales volume.
BTG: In the short term, sentiment is brightened by rising price for domestic pork. 2Q24 profit is expected to turn up to a profit for the first time in a year on continued drops in animal feed cost, higher prices and volume for chicken and higher swine price in Thailand and Cambodia. Valuation is attractive.
