(CRC HMPRO)

Trading today
In the short term, the SET is expected to move sideways and be volatile on concerns of selling of LTFs that fall due at the beginning of 2025, while the market is waiting for new catalysts. Investment strategy is "Selective Buy" across two themes with positive individual factors and three short-term trading ideas:
- Stocks benefiting from government consumption and tourism stimulus, where performance has been good for at least three out of the past five years: Commerce (CRC, HMPRO).
- Earnings plays: Stocks where 4Q24 profit is expected to grow YoY and QoQ and who regularly pay dividends – GULF, OSP, AMATA, AU, TIDLOR and BCP.
- Trading idea for high-risk investors: 1) Stocks expected to be targets for Vayupak and tax-deductible funds – BBL, GPSC, AWC, BEM and CBG; 2) stocks that are window-dressing targets, whose performance has been good for at least three of the past five years – BCP, GPSC, BDMS and OSP; and 3) stocks expected to benefit from China’s government stimulus – IVL and PTTGC.
Daily top picks
BBL: The leading bank stock, with price drivers from: 1) the lowest valuation, 2) the lowest asset quality risk, and 3) the highest loan growth potential, with loans expected to recover strongly in 4Q24, with November loan growth at a solid 1.3%MoM, driven by foreign business and large corporate loans.
MINT: 4Q24 core profit is expected to grow YoY on expectation of revenue from the hospitality business in Europe to grow in high single-digits but decline QoQ as it is low season in Europe. 2024 core profit is expected to be Bt7.7bn, growing 8%YoY. Valuation is attractive, trading at 2025F PER of 22x (-2SD).
