S-curve from “DIME” with higher dividend

Post analyst meeting, we upgrade KKP to OUTPERFORM with a hike in TP to Bt126 from Bt109 on an expectation of a good earnings growth at 37% in 2026 and 14% in 2027 along with a decent dividend yield of 6.3% for 2026  We raise earnings forecast by 3% for 2026F and 6% for 2027F due to a cut in credit cost forecast and an upward revision of fee income to factor into S-curve from “DIME”.   We now expect earnings to rise 37% in 2026 and 14% in 2027, back up a solid fee income growth with an S-curve from “DIME” and a recovery in banking business.

Cut credit cost guidance.  To fine tune with KKP’s downward revision of 2026 credit cost guidance to 1.3-1.5% from 1.6-1.8% vs. 1.48% in 1H26, we trim our 2026F credit cost by 5 bps to 1.45% (-21 bps), expecting 2H26 credit cost to slightly ease HoH on smaller addition of management overlay.  We also cut 2027F credit cost by 5 bps to 1.4% (-5 bps).

S-curve from “DIME”.  KKP Dime Securities Co., Ltd. (DIME), its 80% owned subsidiary showed a skyrocket performance in 1H26.  In 1H26, DIME generated more revenue than full-year revenue made in 2025.  In 2025, its revenue rose 243% to Bt802mn and earnings turned around to net profit of Bt287mn (5% of KKP’s net profit) from net loss of Bt85mn in 2024.   The number of application downloads rose 121% in 2025 and 29% in 1H26 to around 4.89mn.     The number of onboard users rose 172% in 2025 and 36% in 1H26 to around 2.23mn. The number of daily active users rose 172% in 2025 and 54% in 1H26 to around 621,360.  Asset under platform rose 243% in 2025 and 66% in 1H26 to Bt174bn, of which 60% are invested in the US stocks.  DIME introduces fractional share trading for international stocks, which allows novice investors (mainly in gen Z) to buy top-tier global companies with minimal capital rather than needing to buy full shares.  KKP targets to achieve the number of onboard users to 4mn from 2.23mn as of 2Q26. KKP plans to add new products to DIME platform such as more international stock market and insurance.  We raised our forecast on net fee income growth by 3 ppt to 23% in 2026F, 10% in 2027F and 7% in 2028 to factor into an S-curve from DIME.

Raise earnings forecast. We raise earnings forecast by 3% for 2026F and 6% for 2027F.  We now expect 2026F earnings to rise 37%, underpinned by 3% loan growth, flattish NIM, a 21 bps drop in credit cost and a 23% rise in non-NII (on fee income related to capital market).  We expect 2027F earnings to rise 14%, supported by a 4% loan growth, a 6 bps rise in NIM, a 5 bps ease in credit cost and 7% rise in non-NII.

Conversion of warrants = higher room for dividend.  There was a capital injection of Bt3.54bn from a conversion of warrants (KKP-W6 and ESOP warrants) in 1H26.  This will enlarge room for a hike in dividend payment.  We raise 2026F DPS by Bt1.05 to Bt7, equivalent to a dividend yield of 6.3%.

Upgrade to OUTPERFORM with TP hike. We upgrade KKP to OUTPERFORM with a hike in TP to Bt126 (based on DDM) from Bt109.

Key risks: 1) Asset quality risk from the economic slowdown, 2) inflationary pressure, 2) falling used car prices, 3) volatile capital market and 4) ESG risk on market conduct.
